BCAC has joined an international effort to improve and extend the lives of women and men living with advanced breast cancer (ABC). The ABC Global Alliance was formed in 2016 by the European School of Oncology and is a non-profit organisation based in Portugal. ABC Global Alliance’s president Dr Fatima Cardoso visited New Zealand in 2019 and was very helpful in our push with Metavivors NZ to get better access to medicines for treating advanced breast cancer.
The Alliance brings together researchers, medical professionals, and patient advocacy groups from around the world to share knowledge and work together to bring patient needs to the fore for driving decision-making and ultimately improving and extending lives.
To raise global awareness of advanced breast cancer the Alliance recently launched this excellent video featuring first-hand accounts of the injustices experienced by real people living with ABC. Please view and share it widely.
