Pink Dragons are pleased to see the movie/documentary "The Pinkies Are Back" is now available on TVNZ OnDemand. As a team of breast cancer survivors we share the ups and downs of regaining our strength after treatment, rebuilding our lives and finding wonderful friendships. Our story is one everyone can relate to in some way. It's a happy movie and we are proud to share our experience with others.
Since making the movie, we've had new people join us and others depart for new challenges. We are always happy to welcome new paddlers and will find a place for them on our boat.
We have a strong core of women who have been training for international reps and putting in a great effort. We are very excited the IBCPC Dragon Boat Festival is being held at Lake Karapiro in April 2023. Click here for more information. We will be welcoming over 3000 breast cancer survivors from around the world to New Zealand to compete.
Pink Dragons are looking to make this season our best so far. We started with winning for the first time at the Hamilton regatta recently. We have another couple of smaller regattas as we build for our Auckland Regionals in March, then Nationals and finally IBCPC. Later in the year we hope to have members of the Pink Dragons picked to represent NZ internationally.
