Shocking Pink is a new New Zealand charity dedicated to supporting young women (aged 20-45) through their journey of breast cancer (and out the other side!) and is one of BCAC’s newest member groups.
The 2011/2012 season got off to a great start with a regatta in November held by the Bay of Plenty Dragon Boat Club. Despite the extremely windy day, the sun peeped out and there was lots of laughter and fun as teams hit the water for their races.
It seemed like it had only just begun, then before they knew it the Pink Dragons were collecting their medals at the Nationals in Rotorua! They have had a great year with many highs along the way but the season’s highlight was their overseas trip to Sydney and taking part in the Dragons Abreast Regatta in Darling Harbour.
